Heartbreakingly Sad

I read this book awhile ago and it still haunts me.

It's not that I disliked the book itself, it was a good book. It's the ending that disappointed….it broke my heart! I felt so bad for all of the characters, the main character as well as her family.

Summer is winding down

It has been relatively busy here this summer and I haven’t gotten to do all the things I wanted to get done.  But then again, I think we find that happens all throughout the year, doesn’t  it?  At any rate, I have been busy.  On Wednesday the youngest registers for school, his junior year!  Hard to believe how time has flown!!!  Seems like just yesterday I was walking him to school for the first time.

I’ve got a few new recipes I’ve come up with and will be sharing soon.  I’m also finalizing the pattern writing part of the socks that I designed and also have to knit the 2nd fingerless glove to be sure I have that pattern error free.  Then I will be listing them.  I haven’t been knitting as much as I’d like, but that’s good because I haven’t been as sedentary as I had been in the past.

The weight loss continues.  Sometimes not as fast as I’d like, but it’s a steady loss.  At times I don’t see a difference on the scale, but when I take measurements I see a difference there.  So it all balances out.  I’m definitely a lot stronger than I was.  I’ve been logging the miles I walk and since June 19 have walked 122.6 miles!  That’s in addition to the other cardio and strength training I do.  The weight I’ve lost so far?  21 pounds!  Not too shabby, eh?  And the blood pressure has been phenomenal!  It’s so nice to be within normal limits after all this time!
