This Movie Always Gets to Me No Matter How Many Times I've Seen It

You can’t help but like the character George Malley played by John Travolta. He’s sweet, kind-hearted, and is so eager to use his newly acquired abilities to help others.

So much of this movie really resonated with me – the way George wouldn’t give up on romancing Lace, the way he dealt with the news of the tumor, and the way he was always reaching out to help others.  And the chairs……who could forget the chairs?

The sadness of the movie was eased with a bit of humor. My particular favorite was the way George dealt with the scientist who was trying to find out just how intelligent George was.

I always want it to end differently. I want George to live and be happy with Lace and her children. But after weeks of not being able to sleep, he finally does.
